Summer Youth Employment Program

About The Program

Summer Youth Employment Program is a six week program funded by the Northwest Regional Workforce Investment Board which provides youth aged 14-21 with part-time jobs during their summer vacation. During this time, youth work 20 hours per week earning CT minimum wage. The goals of the Summer Youth Employment Program are to provide opportunities for our youth to earn job skills through real-life work experience, while building relationships and with local businesses in town. 

Youth may be placed in a variety of job fields. Youth may work in various roles such as office assistants, maintenance assistants, program assistants, junior camp counselors, restaurant hostess, and more.

Applications for the Summer Youth Employment Program are typically available sometime in mid April.
