Our Mission
The mission of NHS Black Student Union is to provide services and programs that address the needs and concerns of all students who identify as Black. We are committed to stimulating intellectual, political, and social growth amongst our membership.
What is the BSU?
Naugatuck High School Black Student Union is an organization of members who are interested or already share a love for Black culture. Our goal is to promote a positive and productive representation of the Black community through:

Celebration of Black culture

Engaging in discussions designed to help foster a better understanding of experiences and issues that impact African American students

Empowering students to be powerful, positive agents of change in the school and community

Educating students in Black history

Promoting academic excellence providing outreach opportunities to build connections within the community
